It’s no news flash that fuel costs have been steadily rising and rising. In spite of these increases, we’ve held the line on our freight charges since July of last year. However, diesel fuel has been on a historical rise with increases of over 57% during the past 12 months.

Accordingly, our delivery surcharges will need to be increased in order to compensate for these exorbitant fuel price increases. Effective May 19, 2008, the surcharge will be based upon the price of diesel fuel and will be adjusted up or down weekly. This figure appears above.

Here’s The Silver Lining - You Can Still Save Money and be more GREEN:

Remember that All Tile’s freight policy allows for multiple orders of assorted materials to be delivered for one flat rate. Compare that to the carpet mills that charge by the yard and you’ll see that their cost to deliver a roll of carpet to your store is over $65 (200 yards plus a surcharge). For two rolls, it would be $130, and so on. And these charges do not even account for any hard surface material that could be on the truck.

By consolidating your freight to one or two days per week with All Tile, you can take full advantage of our subsidized freight, as well as reducing carbon emissions. For one single drop charge, you can have multiple pallets, rolls and other pieces of material delivered. That savings goes straight to your bottom line. It is a significant subsidy that could easily add $7,500 of “green” to your bottom line in freight savings alone.
